Verdict
Hercules Morse is preferred here to Radcliffe and Mister Apple's. The selection ran a blinder last time when chasing home Phareight Dei and they key to his chance today is his proven ability to handle this testing ground. Radcliffe finished a fair fifth at Ludlow last time in a race won by Ca Na Trona. He is better on a faster surface but this does not look a strong race and he should be capable of finishing in the place money. Mister Apple's is a French import and there is no doubting that he has plenty of ability. He would have won last time had he been more fluent with his jumping and until he irons out those problems he is probably worth taking on. Tallow Bay finished second behind Tommy Carson last time but he is far from reliable and with this in mond he can't be backed with any confidence. This is not a strong race and Hercules Morse is taken to land the prize.
