Verdict
This is a competitive handicap for a Tuesday evening with five of the nine runners having already won at the track. All of Clowance One’s victories have come over this course and distance and he reversed earlier running with King Calypso last month. This is tougher having been raised 5lb but he still goes on the short-list. Velvet Revolution had a bit in hand here last time but is also upped 5lb and taking on better opposition. Cartwright and Mark Hopkins warrant a mention while any market support for the returning Future Empire should be noted but GAVLAR could be the one to be on. He won off a 2lb higher mark at Newcastle earlier in the year and hasn’t been disgraced in decent company since.
