In depth

Verdict

Courtside hasn’t raced since landing a double back in May and is 7lb higher on his return. Double Time went close over 7f here on his handicap debut while Dion Baker posted a better effort over the same trip and Ford Madox Brown placed yet again when third at Lingfield. Not for the first time, ALMAAN failed to see out 1m2f last time but had won over today’s distance at Newmarket before that and can race off a similar mark back on this surface.
