Verdict
A modest way to open the card and only a handful make any serious appeal for punting purposes, and a chance is taken with Welcome To Unos, who looked a reformed character on his first start for Martin Pipe at Stratford last week. The son of Exit To Nowhere barely knew that he'd had a race on that occasion and is given the vote today over Bed Bug and the frustrating Lord Fernando. The Garry Moore-trained Shaman makes some appeal as an each way hope and is worthy of consideration if he is supported on course. However, Welcome To Unos relished the change of tactics employed during his debut run for the champion trainer and he left the impression that a 7lb penalty would not be an insurmountable obstacle if he holds his form. The ground should also be in the six-year-old's favour and, with promising conditional rider Jamie Moore booked for the ride, another bold show is expected from Welcome To Unos whilst his confidence is on a high.
