Verdict

APRIL FOOL is our idea of the winner with Silidan and Bauhaus Bourbon respected. Jonathan Geake's charge won in spite of being out of the handicap last time out and having exhibited plenty of improvement for the addition of a visor, we believe that there is more to come tonight. Silidan is probably the pick of the Gary Moore duo if jockey bookings are to be believed. The five-year-old has returned back to these shores after landing a race on the beach for Gordon Elliott at Laytown. Bauhaus Bourbon has dropped down the weights and has to be respected granted the form of the stable. Putra Laju's regular haunt is Wolverhampton so it will be interesting to see how he copes going the other way around. High Class Problem has been in plenty of stables during his career. He has shown his better form around this circuit so expect to see Chris Catlin attempt to deliver him as late as possible. Of the others, Blue Charm and Alcucia are noted as previous course winners. April Fool looks ahead of the handicapper and can continue his forward progression.
