    Verdict

A tricky contest given most are handicapping for the first time having been thereabouts in novice races. That list includes Golden Image and Physical Power, who were both placed at Wolverhampton on their respective latest starts, while the likes of Black Medusa and Classic Charm are also open to improvement. But CARP KID looks a safer proposition as he wasn’t beaten far in a higher grade handicap over 7f at Lingfield last week and Jamie Osborne’s charge won over today’s trip before that.
