In depth

Verdict

Glory Be edges a slender vote of confidence over Artzola and Shakia. The last named won in selling grade at Yarmouth last month and is being kept busy while the iron is still warm. The switch to the All Weather is an interesting move for the daughter of Almushtarak and a bold bid would open new doors for the filly at this level. Artzola has a fair bit of experience at this level and, as she posted an improved effort last time, she can be expected to be high in the rankings amongst the supporting cast. This is her level; so a market move would be noteworthy. However, preference has to go to the consistent Glory Be, whose recent form is just about the best on offer and this half-sister to useful miler Thinn gets the nod now that she has proved her stamina for the trip.
