Verdict

An intriguing contest but a difficult one to fathom for punters. A Group 1 winner in Chile, Sabor A Triunfo has joined Ed Dunlop with the Champion Fillies' and Mares' Stakes as a target. Tac De Boistron is certainly capable of better on only his second start for Marco Botti though whether Wigmore Hall is the force of old nowadays is open to question. Main Sequence has endured a difficult year so far returning a losing favourite in all three starts and returns from a lay-off facing a strong bid from Godolphin. The penalised Royal Empire won the Geoffrey Freer at Newbury in good style last month and is preferred to stablemate Prince Bishop, who has the form to figure but may need his first start since March, but MASTERSTROKE could be the one. The latter is sure to improve for his belated seasonal return at Goodwood and last year's Group 2 winner gets a speculative vote to land this.
