    Verdict

    A C&D winner last month, April Fool takes a drop in class and has a chance with an apprentices claim taken into consideration. However, he finished behind SATWA LAIRD in a handicap here later in the month and the latter won in similar company at Lingfield last time. David Simcock's charge is fancied to go in again here. Russian Ice won three times over C&D last year and makes more appeal than Unlimited, but Hand Painted looks up against it on today's terms.
