Verdict
Another race that should prove informative with a number of potentially smart individuals in opposition. Island Light was uneasy in the market on his Beverley debut last month and this half-brother to the classy L'Oiseau d'Argent ran accordingly but is entitled to be sharper for the experience and it will be surprising if the son of Woodman can't leave his mark on this occasion. Both Backwell and Silver City hold big-race entries and are respected although the former showed an unwelcome tendency to pull while the latter has plenty to find on his lacklustre debut effort over course and distance last month.
