Verdict

There are a trio of three-year-olds engaged here, all won last time out and can fight out the finish. DUCHESS OF MARMITE has improved dramatically since stepping up in trip and followed her victory over the course and distance with a very good effort over slightly shorter at Wolverhampton. She won again over the trip at Chelmsord and though 4lb higher can continue her excellent form and take this. Scarlet Minstrel gained his first victory over an extended 1m5f at Chelmsford where he was going away at the finish so the step-up shouldn't be a problem nor should it be for Starcrossed, who battled back to land a maiden over that same track and trip and is capable of better. Cotton Club is the only one of the older brigade to have won over the trip though he was a couple of lengths behind the selection last time.
