Verdict

Peter Grayson has had his yearly winner so it might pay to look past his trio despite the fact that all are potentially well-handicapped; preference instead is for COCKTAIL PARTY. James Unett's filly is one of the more consistent runners in the race and under stronger handling today she should run a big race from a good draw. The Magic Of Rio was rated 80 in August of last year and is now 30lbs lower; that alone means it would be no surprise from a handicapping view were she to prevail. Cheshire Rose didn't look comfortable on Southwell's surface last time, Woodcote was miles out of the handicap when last seen, whilst Shirley High is still a maiden but any market support would have to be respected. Sir Loin holds a few of today's rivals on a run behind Equinity, however it is Cocktail Party who gets the nod.
