In depth

Verdict

Viscount Vert, Oblitereight and Mitch Rapp are all expected to improve on their respective debut efforts, while Firestarter has leading claims after finishing second at Newbury on his latest start as he will appreciate today's extra furlong. After being well beaten on his debut, CHARITABLE ACT was unfancied at Salisbury last time but gave the winner a fright and the third-placed horse has won since. Willie Muir's charge is fancied to get off the mark here with further progress expected.
