In depth

Verdict

Un Beau Roman is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and has won from much higher marks in the past. MOVIE LEGEND completed a double in the spring but couldn't handle Grade 3 company in the Red Rum at Aintree and this is more his class so he's taken to make a winning reappearance. Ecu De La Noverie has been very consistent in this grade though beaten four time off lower marks and stable companion Pointed And Sharp looks more of a threat with the going still in his favour. He's completed a hat-trick on good ground in recent weeks though he's up 9lb for his latest victory at Taunton. Sao never recovered from a bad mistake on his chasing debut here in May and was beaten a long way but has plenty of time on his side as does Teaser, only a four-year-old but already a dual winner over hurdles and fences.
