Verdict

JESSICA WIGMO can follow up Monday's success but Safebreaker and Prince Rossi are sure to have their supporters. Tony Carroll's mare had dropped down the weights following some modest form and she took advantage of that in landing a prize some 14lb below the mark that she obliged off last April. Drawn well and with only the inconvenience of a punitive 6lb winners' penalty, she should prove a tough nut to crack. Safebreaker won as he was entitled to do so at Southwell in a similarly dire contest. That said, the third ran a creditable race at Wolverhampton on Monday afternoon. Unfortunately the computer has not allocated a nice post position today. Prince Rossi beat a number of characters in a classified stakes at the course last month. It remains to be seen as to whether that level of form will stand up to examination outside of that grade. Nautical continues to go well at lowly levels and while its hard to see him reverse form with Safebreaker, he has claims of hitting the frame again. Copperwood is still a maiden but was racing off marks as high as 70 just eight months ago. Dancing Duo was a little unfortunate on his previous foray to Kempton over eight furlongs and is one to note in the market. Low grade fare but Jessica Wigmo looks well treated at present and is difficult to get away from.
