Verdict
MUNFALLET looks the one to beat on the evidence of his debut at Goodwood last month. He finished ahead of a subsequent winner when third to Lanark and should be opening his account in this company. Severnwind showed a big improvement on his latest start over track and trip and makes more appeal than Meaning Of Life, who was still beaten seven lengths when third at Nottingham although he did finish well ahead of John Lea. Clarice will no doubt improve on a modest debut effort at Southwell while Grecian, a brother to a winner on the all-weather, could prove best of the newcomers.
