RED SUEDE SHOES is recommended in the nightcap with Bawaardi and Gallantry likely to run well. Rod Millman's gelding is better known as a seven furlong specialist so that could ensure a decent price about him this evening. Consistency seems his strong suit and he can pay his way for connections again. Bawaardi left John Gosden to join Richard Fahey. A recent victor at Wolverhampton, he is sure to give another good account. Gallantry has ran abysmally of late but the handicapper is at least taking note of it. Were this a year ago, he would have been a warm favourite for this event. Ian Williams' horses are running well so Ensnare is worth more than just a cursory glance in the market. Totally Focussed was well punted ahead of his previous visit to Kempton. He has been turned over on two subsequent starts so it remains to be seen as to whether connections will be on a recovery mission. Final Verse was rated almost a stone higher on the turf during the flat season proper. He won off a mark off 73 at Lingfield though has been comfortably held since. Red Suede Shoes will be making the bookies feel blue following this contest.
