In depth
Verdict
Danetime Lord may be able to make the most of the drop in grade and prevail from Dickie Le Davoir and Seneschal. Kevin Ryan's gelding has been struggling in handicaps since winning back to back races early last year but has been running well enough in defeat to see his mark continue to rise. This drop in grade represents a decent opportunity to resume winning ways and he should be able to take it. Dickie Le Davoir should appreciate the step back up in trip having been outpaced at Southwell the last twice and looks sure to be involved on his second start for new connections. Love On Sight and Galaxy Stars aren't ruled out but a bigger threat may be Seneschal. He probably had too much use made of him over a mile last time but he has a good judge of pace in Richard Hughes taking over in the saddle tonight and could fare better but for the winner, we'll come back to Danetime Lord.
