      Verdict

      UPAVON made a bold bid to follow up his maiden win when a close second on his handicap debut at Lingfield three weeks ago with Lager Time back in third. An apprentice's 7lb allowance should give him the edge in this and David Elsworth's charge gets the nod. Fortinbrass was sent off favourite at Wolverhampton last time but came up short and is 3lb higher today while Go Far usually finds at least one too good. Studfarmer is better than his recent fourth over 7f suggests and he has a shout along with Opt Out, now back on a winning mark for his return to action.
