In depth

Verdict

Hinde Street made a winning start on the all-weather but failed to cope under a penalty at Thirsk last time. Dragon Mountain was placed over a mile here last year and Qayed was fourth over the same trip in December but FAIRLIGHT was third over 1m2f at Nottingham on his debut in April and Luca Cumani’s colt gets the nod with this extra distance likely to suit. Hamlul never figured on his introduction but better is expected from Sir Michael Stoute’s charge today while Carnwennan and Godolphin’s Moving Forward are newcomers to note.
