Soft ground looked a legitimate excuse for the poor effort of Under Control at Musselburgh but he was placed here before that. Cool Team won at Newcastle a fortnight ago and is 2lb higher while Bluff Crag ran well at Lingfield last time when well ahead of Manangatang. Traveller has been thereabouts of late and won a maiden race when last on the all-weather but another chance goes to WHOSYOURHOUSEMATE, third in a higher grade at Yarmouth last time and expected to go close if first-time headgear has the desired effect.
