Verdict

Tamaroc Du Mathan was a staying-on fifth in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury and may enjoy the extra distance. Downtown Getaway returned from a break to land a gamble over course and distance three weeks ago and a 5lb rise is not excessive. Cervaro Mix had plenty in hand at Huntingdon but has been raised 6lb. THE BUTCHER SAID rattled up a four-timer last summer over this sort of trip. He’s had two runs over 3m this winter on going that would have been softer than ideal but hasn’t been disgraced. Olly Murphy’s charge has solid claims in this if wind surgery has had the desired effect. It would be no surprise to see Smarty Wild bounce back to form but Bullionaire was a disappointing favourite at Exeter having bolted up at Uttoxeter previously. Anytime Will Do may be the pick of the remainder as he’s been struggling to last home over 3m and is now fitted with cheekpieces.
