    Verdict

Arteus and Equinine can both go well here, but preference is for ESPERO, while Camilla Knight is likely to show prominently on debut. The Rodney Farrant-trained selection was allocated a rating of 82 after four runs, with the last pair of those being over further than this. Even so, in contradiction with his pedigree he has barely seen out both a mile and 9f, so the drop back to this trip may be no bad thing. He is top-rated of those that have a mark and a reproduction of his recent efforts gives him every chance. Arteus has not yet raced beyond tonight's distance and has gone close twice on turf when the ground has been fast, so there are possibilities for him on this surface. His form is decent in the context of this race and he can make the frame once more. Equinine has a bit to find with the selection at these weights and will probably find more joy when back in minor handicaps, and Camilla Knight is perhaps more interesting. Walter Swinburn's filly is a half-siter to a triple winner at around this trip and the debutant looks a nice ride for the champ. Valfurva looks best of the rest, but preference is for Espero.
