In depth

Verdict

Tavener is penalised for a recent success over 6f at Wolverhampton but has won over today’s trip before. Trotter has yet to win anywhere and attempts 7f for the first time but Captain Pugwash won at Chelmsford last month and went close again on his latest start. Baltic Prince has won off similar marks on the all-weather in the past but course and distance winner DARING GUEST was beaten only a head on his most recent visit to this venue and looks to have a slightly easier task in this.
