In depth

Verdict

Nicky Henderson has won two of the five renewals and Burrows Edge looks poised for a big run after going close over track and trip three weeks ago. Mahlervous scored over course and distance in January and is preferred to stablemate Star Of Lanka while Townshend was placed at Wincanton last month and makes more appeal than stable companion Wicked Willy. My Way will need to improve on recent placed efforts to come out best in this but HONEST VIC (NAP) has every chance in an open affair having just missed out in a higher grade contest at Ascot with the third having subsequently placed in Wednesday’s Coral Cup at Cheltenham.
