Verdict

City Stable may be able to reward his loyal supporters but preference is for ULTIMATE QUEST ahead of Coda Agency and Saute. Coda Agency is one of the more exposed campaigners in the line-up and could be vulnerable to a rival with fewer miles on the clock but he does run this track particularly well but his last three wins (all over course and distance) have come from a 2lb lower mark which would appear to be his level. City Stable has returned a beaten favourite the last twice and is trying this course and distance for the first time but he's clearly deemed capable of making an impression from his current mark and the booking of Steve Drowne for the first time bodes well as he has a near one in four strike rate for the yard in recent seasons. Saute won a handicap here over twelve furlongs and shapes as though he'll stay this far; he made a pleasing return to action at Bath last month when looking in need of the run and has leading claims. However, marginal preference is for Ultimate Quest who just lost out to a well handicapped rival in a similar contest at Wolverhampton last time with the pair clear of the third and he can make light of a 5lb rise in the weights.
