Verdict
WESTERN could make no impression in the Goffs Million at the Curragh last time but earlier form in this country mark him out as the one to beat in this. Highland Slipper has hinted at ability but has something to find with the less-exposed Extra Beat on Sandown running. Encourager is a likely improver while Combat Power, a £42,000 half-brother to several winners, wouldn’t need to be anything special to make an impact on his introduction.
