Verdict
A number to consider but Borzoi Maestro might just provide the answer. A winner of three of his last four races, his defeat in that sequence came last time over six at Chester behind a good colt in Peak To Creek. The drop to five should suit him and he can make a bold show from the front. He will, however, not have things all his own way up front and Signor Panettiere is also a trail-blazer. He has had a wind operation and, if it proves successful, he might well show them all a clean set of hooves. He has run since that op, but that was over six last time so the drop to five really ought to suit. La Vie Est Belle and Mac Love come here in good heart so cannot be dismissed, and while there is selling form among some of the more lowly-weighted, some of it has worked out reasonably well. An interesting contest but it could just pay to stay with the trailblazers, and Borzoi Maestro might prove the best of them.
