Verdict

MOHAWK STAR can land the nightcap at the main expense of Adage and Borrowdale. The selection has won his last two races and the manner of his most recent success suggested that he was worth sticking with. He also has the best of the draw tonight so he looks the one they all have to beat. Adage is on a fair mark at present and she ran a decent race back in third behind Kritzia last time. However, she was well behind the winner that day and she will need to improve to get her head in front. Borrowdale finished second behind Precision Break last time and he proved that this trip clearly suits. He has a good draw and if he runs up the level of his last race then he should be thereabouts at the finish. Good Effect could be of interest now that he is upped in trip. However, Mohawk Star is difficult to oppose and he rates as our choice.
