Verdict

FOCAIL MEAR finally got off the mark when scoring at Wolverhampton and this looks no tougher despite a 3lb rise. He is preferred to Jackpot, a winner here in January but beaten off today's higher mark since. Polydamos and Crowning Star finished virtually upsides in a similar contest last time though the former remains without a win in 30 starts while Warbond is usually thereabouts at this lowly level as he looks to double his win tally having won just the once in 56 attempts so far.
