Verdict

Something went amiss with Basingstoke last time when attempting to land a hat-trick of wins at Southwell. Both Bountybeamadam and George Baker signed off last season with shocking efforts, though today's jockey bookings suggest much better is expected today. Fanoos is finding her current mark beyond her and recent course and distance winner Strong Man may also struggle off a 5lb higher mark. LIGHT ROSE ran well without success last year and drops down a grade for her return. Jeremy Gask's filly could sneak her head in front here given the doubts surrounding most of the competition.
