Verdict

American Spin and Representingceltic are both previous course and distance winners. Foundation Man and Caulfields Venture both usually feature in higher-grade races but look out of sorts while Softsong has become disappointing. Best Boy Barney may need this so we'll stick with easy Wincanton winner HARRY'S FAREWELL (NAP). He won easily when upped in trip last time at Wincanton. That victory was long overdue and there should be more to come as he's only had the five starts over fences. Shy John is in good form and only 4lb higher than when scoring at Taunton so can't be ignored while Flaming Gorge is on a lower mark than when winning at Huntingdon around this time last year.
