Verdict

Sand Skier takes a drop in class but a poor strike rate dampens enthusiasm and John Biscuit hasn't won since his racecourse debut in 2010. Mcbirney ran poorly last time after finishing runner-up at Leicester and C&D winner Sakhee's Pearl hasn't raced since February. CALA SANTANYI scored at Lingfield in April and, having finished a close-up fifth at Carlisle last time, looks capable of scoring off today's mark and gets the nod. Scottish Star is not without a chance and Antarctic should have come on for his recent comeback at Sandown.
