      Verdict

      Purdey's Gift is back up in grade after winning at Wolverhampton. Exceeding Power is still 2lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago but Sir Prize should go well as he bids for a fourth course and distance victory having found 2m a shade too far ion Tapeta last time. Princesse Mathilde makes her all-weather debut but is having only her third start in this country and will have needed last month’s fourth at Doncaster. FEARLESS WARRIOR has been frustrating to follow but is probably due a change of luck and seems to like it here so shouldn’t be far away under Hollie Doyle.
