In depth

Verdict

Count Otto won with a bit to spare over track and trip last time and looks to have a better chance of defying a penalty than Desert Doctor, who narrowly won the other division of the same novice race here. Sea Ess Seas and Mischievous Rock can figure with normal progress but MOON SONG found only one too good at Chelmsford recently and Clive Cox’ grey filly can take advantage of the weight concessions and come out best. Of the newcomers, Ambroise is related to a couple of smart sprinters and preferred to Worship and Pak Choi.
