In depth
Verdict
Waterside is a class above his rivals and has his easiest task to date so is taken to win this claimer at the expense of Soviet Palace and Count Ceprano. The selection has a rating of 99 which is over a stone better than any of his rivals. As a result of his handicap mark he has been difficult to win with but at the age of nine connections feel the time is right to chance their luck in claiming races and with so much in hand here he should be able to get back to winning ways. Soviet Palace was in winning form at Wolverhampton last month but has since been disappointing on the fibre sand at Southwell. He is yet to have run on this surface but will have to be at his very best if he is to worry the selection. Count Ceprano has found life tough since breaking his maiden tag and is possibly not well handicapped. He will do better in claimers but like his other rivals today he is up against a horse that is rated far superior in Waterside.
