In depth
Verdict
Rigmarole had been a model of consistency before failing to act on the softish conditions last time out. Brought out quickly again by his trainer, he is a firm ground specialist who goes well at Kempton. The return of Joe Tizzard is a huge plus and he should go well and hopefully his price will remain competitive. His biggest danger looks to be Mixsterthetrixster whose effort last time out was commendable in a race run under a true test of stamina. He will need to improve to beat the selection but looks on the upgrade. If Warwick falls to the frost then Greenhope may offer good each-way value. He ran well on his debut last season and put up some decent performances before failing to spark in Ireland. Not outclassed on the Flat he should put up a good account of himself though he may need further to show his best. Chief Cashier has shown himself to be a capable performer with wins at Ludlow and Wincanton in the recent past and put up another good showing in defeat last time out. On the downside he may find the going too quick.
