    Verdict

CHEVALLIER ran well for third on his reappearance at Lingfield a fortnight ago. Richard Hannon's charge looks capable of scoring off his current mark on that evidence and is preferred to the likes of Ghalib and Captain Marmalade with the latter pair having their first starts of the year. Chetan scored twice over track and trip last season but is 6lb higher than his latest victory while Bouncing Czech went close here in February only to disappoint last time. Cockle Town Boy was still beaten six lengths when runner-up in a maiden last month and Gen I Am makes more appeal.
