        Verdict

        A couple of similar types have been making the most of a slide down the weights. Exceedexpectations arrives on the back of a couple of wins at Wolverhampton though he only won a lowly seller last time. DARNATHEAN's form looks stronger as he returned a cosy winner at Brighton a fortnight ago and may still be ahead of the handicapper despite a 5lb rise. Victorian Number can figure off her current mark but Russian Ice still looks a shade high in the weights and Mrs Warren may prove a bigger threat.
