      Verdict

      A poor contest where Tralanza may be able to overcome stamina doubts to take the prize from an ordinary bunch headed by Summerofsixtynine. Connections presumably think that Tralanza, who is bred to get not much more than a mile, will see out this 12 furlong trip, and with nothing in outstanding form in opposition they may well be proved right given that he is well in on official ratings, and so on that basis we are happy enough to side with him. Summerofsixtynine is similarly bred in terms of trip to the selection and did not run too badly over c&d last time, but if they both run to their official marks then John O'Shea's colt should be found wanting. Imminent Victory may yet prove a tougher not to crack after a recent pipe opener here so watch the market for any clues. The other pair look to have monumental tasks and Tralanza gets the nod.
