In depth

Red Orator is a half-brother to a winning sprinter and any strong support on his debut should be noted as his stablemate Captivity beat MUNIFICENCE at Wolverhampton recently when the latter finished third. However, Marco Botti's charge was making his debut on that occasion and with that experience to draw on, he's fancied to go one better here. Oneiric and Avon Supreme are similar in that they both have past form that entitles them to consideration but are much harder to fancy on the evidence of their more recent modest efforts.

Oneiric 14-1 (9-0) Close up, ridden and outpaced over 4f out, effort over 2f out, weakened final furlong, 6th of 11, 13l behind Kangaroo Court (9-7) at Lingfield 1m 4f mdn stks (5) pol in Jan.

Munificence 11-2 (8-7) In touch, effort over 1f out, kept on towards finish, 3rd of 7, 1l behind Captivity (8-7) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f mdn auc stks (6) pol.

Red Orator Osorio colt out of Red Roses Story.

Avon Supreme 12-1 (8-12) Keen held up, ridden and headway over 1f out, stayed on towards finish, never able to challenge, 5th of 12, 2 1/2l behind Celtic Charlie (8-13) at Lingfield 1m 4f hcp 0-52 (6) pol.
