        Verdict

        It will be interesting to see how the market shapes up for the two newcomers here, particularly Nick Vaughan's Redback colt The Staffy, who looks the pick of the duo but DARK CAMELLIA looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open her account and she gets the vote with Waterloo Dock rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is nothing out of the ordinary but Harry Dunlop's filly has been placed in four of her eight starts including over course and distance last time and a reproduction of that effort may suffice in this company. Christine Dunnett's Yakama ran better at Lingfield last time but remains a maiden after 19 starts and is hard to recommend. Bobal Girl has not progressed as much as may have been anticipated as a three-year-old and looks best watched, while Langham House has similarly seemingly regressed this term. Mick Quinn's Waterloo Dock disappointed on his first run back following a break when last seen in October but has claims on earlier form so he has to be respected but it is Dark Carmellia that gets the vote in a poor contest.
