Plenty with realistic chances but TEWIN WOOD came back from a two-month break to score at Southwell this month and remains well enough treated off a 2lb higher mark. Alan Bailey's charge is a dual C&D winner here and should give us a good run for our money off his new mark. Maverik finished a close second to the selection in that Southwell contest and Ralph Beckett's gelding must go close to reversing running on revised terms. However, this is his first attempt at a mile whereas Tewin Wood is proven at the trip and the Bailey inmate is taken to just confirm placings. Veroon has finished close up the last twice and another good run is anticipated here, whilst Tartan Trip is interesting for the Andrew Balding team. He wasn't beaten at all far this month on his first outing since midsummer last year and is well worth keeping an eye on here, especially if there is any market support for this son of Selkirk.
