Verdict

GRAND HONOUR finished third behind West Leake, who has won again since, over C&D a fortnight ago. Jim Boyle's charge had today's rivals Poesmulligan, Novastasia and A Pocketful Of Rye behind on that occasion and can race off a slightly lower mark here. He gets the vote with that form looking superior to Royal Envoy's recent second to Crystallize. St Ignatius has finally dropped to a mark he can compete off judged on his recent second at Wolverhampton, while the same can be said of Grey Boy, who drops down a grade here.
