Verdict

Theatre Guide was third last year and won this in 2016. He bids to become only the third horse to win this Grade 3 twice but has top weight and is in the veteran stage now. Acting Lass bids to make it four from four over fences. He is unlikely to have realised his full potential just yet and the step up in trip around here shouldn’t be a problem so he goes on the short-list. ART MAURESQUE has only raced over 3m once before and fell at the first in the Ascot race won by Go Conquer. However, there was nothing wrong with his fencing here six weeks ago when he was runner-up to Waiting Patiently, winner of a Grade 1 at Ascot last week. He’s back on a winning mark and looks well treated if he stays. Master Dee has yet to finish out of the frame in 11 runs over fences so will attract each-way support while Ballykan is 7lb lower than when fifth 12 months ago and has the beating of Relentless Dreamer and Label Des Obeaux on the form book. Tintern Theatre could also figure with a clear round but As De Mee may be getting ready for another trip back to Aintree.
