In depth

Verdict

PERFECT GENTLEMAN has raced twice over course and distance and won on both occasions. He has scope for further progress and makes more appeal than Larrsen, who was well beaten here before winning a lesser contest at Bath. Double Down has failed to figure on the Turf since going close over track and trip in March while a tongue-tie is applied to Papal Music, who never threatened the winner when placed at Wolverhampton on his handicap debut.
