    Verdict

This is a poor contest that should not take much winning and what can only be a tentative vote goes to MY MATE GRANITE, who gets the vote over Go Amwell and Colourful Move. Pat Murphy's gelding won well over course and distance in April and he can race off the same mark here so has solid claims but he has disappointed in a couple of recent starts on turf and may be best watched on his return to the Polytrack. Home has been well held in recent outings over hurdles but cannot be ruled out back on the level in a poor race like this. Gerald Ham's Flowerbud is lightly raced having only had four starts so far but needs to improve, while David Pinder's Adage has not won for the best part of two years and seems a shade high in the weights still. Go Amwell is more than capable of taking a hand in the finish but he is probably better on turf than the Polytrack and preference is for My Mate Granite. Hugh Collingridge's gelding is the least exposed of the field after just three starts and he has to be respected on his debut in a handicap off a mark of just 47.
