    Verdict

A 14lb hike in the weights proved beyond FAYLAQ as Ascot last time but he was beaten only a length in a tougher contest than this. The Haggas colt looks capable of returning to winning ways in today’s company. Emirates Knight won a lower grade contest over track and trip last time and the less exposed Midnights' Gift may improve past him having won a maiden on the Turf course at Lingfield recently. Durrell came up short at this level at Ascot while Babbo's Boy has looked high enough in the weights since landing a double earlier in the year and has his first start since wind surgery.
