Verdict

This is a significant drop in class for FLASHING GLANCE, who is now only a pound higher than when successful at Ludlow at the start of the year. He’s been running better than form figures would suggest and could be too good for these, though Storm Rising was still in front when falling at the last at Cheltenham. Story Of Friends may also be a danger if a break and wind surgery has freshened him up as he remains at the right end of the handicap. Westbrook Bertie exceeded expectations when second at Newbury but was fit from the Flat, though holds Capone on that run.
