Verdict

A pretty modest finale and it's not difficult to see Plumpton winner Petit Ecuyer going close again under a penalty as Lee Oswin claims 8lb. However, BENNY THE SWINGER would have bolted up over fences at Fakenham last week had Brendan Powell not steered his mount the wrong side of the winning post having jumped the last. The bottom weight races off the same mark here and can recoup losses. It's not easy to make much of a case for any of the others.
